Prevas has an extensive knowledge and experience in operating systems and FPGA and VHDL design based on years of experience. Since the mid 1990´s RealFast has been giving courses in VHDL and FPGA technology in co-operation with Xilinx and Mentor Graphics. The Prevas product is unique in the market and is a result of more than ten years of development. It is hardware-based operating system co-processor that provides many advantages. The predictability is 100% as hardware is 100% deterministic. The performance is enhanced with up to 1000 times compared to equivalent software solutions. By using an FPGA it is possible to upgrade or change functionality as this co-processor has a plug in architecture for new components. It also acts as an intelligent interrupt handler since external interrupts are routed to it.
