A Time-Based License (TBL) grants a designer a license to use the Xilinx software for a period of one year. While the annual license is in effect, the user will receive all major software releases automatically. Regularly scheduled service packs will also be available for download via the support web site. At the end of the annual license, the license can be extended by purchasing an additional one year license. Otherwise, the license to use the software ends.
The Time-Based License does provide for "archival use" of the software.
That is, any designer who needs to modify a design or fix a bug
after the one year license has ended is permitted to do so.

Support Agreement in Two Simple Steps:
U.S. and Canada
- Review the software products outlined on your Support Agreement for accuracy. If you failed to receive a Support Agreement, found a discrepancy or have any questions about the information provided, please contact your local authorized Xilinx distributor.
- Submit the bottom portion of the agreement to Xilinx with your payment method, either Purchase Order or direct check.
