XILINX PROGRAMMABLE CHIPS ENABLE LATEST MP3 DIGITAL AUDIO COMPUTER FROM DIGITAL INNOVATIONS

LAS VEGAS, Nev., January 9, 2003 - At the Consumer Electronics Show today, Xilinx, Inc., (NASDAQ:XLNX) announced that Digital Innovations, maker of the highly successful SkipDoctorâ line of disc repair devices, utilized Xilinx® CoolRunner®-II CPLDs in its Neuros™ MP3 Digital Audio Computer, unveiled today in booth #N243. Designed to be highly interactive, the revolutionary Neuros combines a compact design with new levels of digital music personalization and compatibility, allowing playback through any FM radio. Digital Innovations selected Xilinx programmable chips for its newest MP3 based on its low power and design flexibility advantages. Digital Innovations is among a growing number of consumer product manufacturers using Xilinx FPGAs and CPLDs to gain a competitive advantage. CoolRunner-II RealDigital CPLDs provide the time-to-market advantages of a programmable device without the typical price premium normally associated with low power devices.

"Xilinx combines easy to use design tools, superior silicon, and excellent customer support to create the ideal design environment," said Timothy Johnson, electrical engineering manager at Digital Innovations.

"Xilinx is fast becoming the supplier of choice for consumer product manufacturers. Time-to- market in this industry is paramount and we provide a flexible, cost effective alternative to ASICs," said Sandeep Vij, vice president of Worldwide Marketing at Xilinx.
