Donation Program

Whenever a project, such as a new or improved course or research program, requires best in-class programmable logic devices and design software, XUP is willing to consider requests to assist the Professor in establishing the project.

Donation Policy and Submitting Requests

For consideration in our donation program, professors need to complete the on-line Donation Proposal Form providing all relevant information. A Xilinx login and password is required in order to access the donation form. If you do not have one, you can create an account (login and password) by clicking here .

Should you purchase or request a donation - what's practical for you?

If you have budget to purchase Xilinx software, development boards, and/or chips, then we encourage you to do so.  We offer significant discounts for Xilinx software and Xilinx development boards.    In some cases, a school might only have some funding, but not enough to obtain everything that is needed for the lab and a partial donation is necessary.

We encourage you to make the choice that you feel is right for your situation.  Most importantly, if money is any barrier to your immediate use of Xilinx products, you should request a donation for what you need.

What you can expect

Every effort will be made to grant your request however all requests are subject to review and approval by the XUP committee. XUP reserves the right to limit donations and/or deny a request.

We will respond to your application within 3 to 4 weeks.  If you do not hear back from Xilinx within one month, please check back with the Xilinx University Program on the status of your application.
