General Description: When I attempt a PC installation from a remote CD or CD server, the following error appears:
"Setup must be run from a mounted drive. Network Neighborhood UNC paths are not supported."
ソリューション
This error occurs when the Setup program is run from a network location that is visible to you, but is not actually mapped to your local machine. Typically, this is seen when you have navigated to the CD-ROM through Network Neighborhood or Windows Explorer.
The setup program must be run from a drive that is directly mapped. To map the network drive:
- Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the drive. - Right-click on the drive and select the "Map Network Drive" option. - Double-click on the newly mapped drive, and select the "Setup.exe" file to begin the installation.
