General Description: I can successfully run "Generate Programming File" for a given device family. However, when I change the target device family, running "Generate Programming File" reports the following error:
"ERROR:Bitgen:42 - Unknown setting "6" for option "ConfigRate". Please consult the "BitGen" Section in Chapter Twelve of the Development System Reference Guide for the appropriate command-line options to create a bitstream file or consult the "Implementation Options" Section of the Design Manager/Flow Engine Reference/User Guide for Configuration Template Settings. Error: bitgen failed Reason: Completed process "Generate Programming File". Done: failed with exit code: 0001."
This error is caused by Project Navigator failing to update the default value for ConfigRate. Depending on which device families are used, the old default value may not be valid for the new family. To work around this, manually set the configuration rate option as follows:
1. Right-click on "Generate Programming File" and select "Properties". 2. Under the "Configuration Options" tab, select any of the available values for Configuration Rate.
